What are your thought on deciding to pursue and MSW degree?
I love people and I have been really blessed in my own life and want to help others improve their lives.
Why did you choose BYU's social work program?
The emphasis on clinical social work and the good reputation BYU has. I love BYU football as well, so that really helped.
What are your career goals/aspirations?
Get and LCSW and work with women in substance abuse.
BYU's focus on a spiritually strengthening educational experience?
It is really nice to be in a program where we can openly talk about spirituality because it is a key to helping people's lives.
On the family experience at BYU?
Our cohort really bonded and it seemed like we were all family because we really cared about each other and became good friends.
Tell us about your BYU internship experience(s):
My internship has been absolutely amazing. I was apprehensive and nervous about my experience (Utah County Division of Substance Abuse) working with women and substance abuse, but it turned out to be a fantastic experience. It is something I would like to do once I graduate.
