Faculty & Staff

Suzanne Grimshaw, LCSW, earned her BS in Political Science and MSW from Brigham Young University. Her background includes work in federal policy settings, including the White House and the U.S. Department of Transportation, and clinical leadership at the Utah State Hospital, where she works with older adult patients with serious mental illness and complex treatment needs. These experiences help her connect policy concepts to the real-world experiences of social workers and the people they serve. She enjoys helping students see that policy is not just something that happens in legislatures or agencies, but something that shapes daily life for individuals, families, communities, and systems of care. She loves teaching, learning, and discussing the ways social workers can relieve suffering, strengthen and serve with both competence and compassion.
