Why did you choose to pursue an MSW degree? I love the ethics and values of the social work profession. I wanted to help people with a person-in-environment focus, on both a micro and macro level.
Why did you choose BYU's Social Work Program? I was drawn to the clinical emphasis of the program and the way internships are arranged/organized.
What are your thoughts on BYU's focus on a spiritually strengthening educational experience? I appreciated an educational environment that recognized Christ as the Master Healer. My BYU experience helped me honor both my spiritual values and the values of the social work profession.
How did BYU's MSW program prepare you for your career? BYU's program equipped me with the tools to complete good assessments. I felt that I had the foundational tools needed to further build my understanding of therapeutic modalities.
Tell us about your BYU internship experience(s): I loved my internships. I felt supported in both roles, and I felt that each role significantly added to my clinical skills.
