Non-Discrimination Statement

Admissions Information

Admission to Brigham Young University is open to persons of any race, color, creed, religion, sex, ethnicity, or national origin who meet the University's academic requirements and agree to abide by its standards. Persons with disabilities are accorded this same nondiscriminatory consideration. The Admissions Committee is especially sensitive to the need for a balanced student body with respect to such factors as age, race, sex, and place of origin. All admitted MSW students must meet the Standards for Social Work Students.

Approximately 40 students are admitted into the MSW program each year. New students begin Fall Semester.

The application deadline for the MSW program is January 15th. Experience suggests that it takes an average of about six weeks to gather all materials and complete the application. The Admissions Committee will make its selections and submit its recommendations by approximately mid-March. BYU Graduate Studies will formally notify applicants via email regarding the University's decision.

The online application form is available here and applicants may submit from September to January 15th. All items on the instruction page must be completed. For more information please contact us at:
